We bought our Holsteins as a complete herd. The broker who was keeping them for us called and asked if we wanted five more cows, one of which was a Jersey Holstein mix. We needed more cows, so we said yes. Jersey Girl is the cutest! She has these funny shaped teeth so when she looks at you, you can see them. It looks like she is grinning and her dentures are showing! It's comical. She is a very gentle cow and is one of the reasons our butterfat is so high. She came to us pregnant and we couldn't wait to see her baby. Jena girl was born in July. She was so small! She looks like a baby deer. Jersey is a milking fool now (my husband's words). Her bag is so huge and she is so short that we have to detach the milker and prop it on the floor underneath her! These are two cows we dearly love.
